Whoever places their action marker on Viper Gorge, must also leave an influence marker there. If in the planning phase, a player placed two action markers there, he/she has to place two influence markers there at the same time as well.

There are two consequences. First, the player will have less influence markers to use during the game, since those  in the Viper Gorge will remain there until the end of the game. Second, the player who has the most influence markers in Viper Gorge at the end of the game, gets 5 extra VP.
